X-Wings™ were created to give an illusion of geese moving on the ground. I have been waterfowl hunting for over 30 years, and firmly believe that movement in your decoy spread is one of the most important things to help you harvest more geese and ducks. I always make sure that I have my flag with before I go hunting. The only problem in using a flag, is when the geese get close, you are drawing their attention to your position. If you are hunting in a tree line, or fence line, you must stop flagging when the birds are getting close, and that is the critical time, when they are looking for movement, as if the spread was a group of real birds. That is the time X-Wings will take over, and get the birds to look at them, instead of your position.
They can go on any type of decoy made ( Full Body, Silhouettes, Floaters, Shells ), will move in winds less than 5 mph.. X-Wings can stay on decoys the entire season, or can be put on and off in seconds. X-Wings eliminates the neccessity of trying to punch holes in frozen ground, and can be placed on the decoy neck high or low depending on the intensity of the wind. Modification of the bend in the wire, might be necessary for certain decoys, depending on the thickness of the decoy neck. Any bend you make in the wire will stay, so it will fit the decoy you are using it on. The material is water resistant, so you can use X-Wings on floaters, which really puts a new motion in your water spreads.
